Air Force Combat Action Ribbon #21588
The AFCAM was Established on 15 March 2007
Awarded to any military member of the Air Force who cactively participated in combat (ground or air). Must have been under direct and hostile fire while operating in unsecured space or physically engaging hostile forces with direct and lethal fire.
This award consists of a medal and a ribbon.
The AFCAM may be awarded for qualifying service from 11 September 2001 to a date to be determined.
The AFCAM shall be worn directly after the Air Force Achievement medal and before the Air Force Presidential Unit Citation.
